Recently a college student in California was the victim of a "fire in the hole." He was working the drive thru at boston market when a customer through a bowl of spinach that was 180 degrees, at his face. He suffered 2nd degree burns all over his face and neck. The kid recently turned himself in and was booked for suspicion to commit battery.

I think fire in the hole is a terrible prank to play on someone especially when its 180 degrees food your throwing in their face. These people are working to serve you food and you repay them by throwing food in their face. I think this prank is immoral and cowardly and police should act to prevent this from happening.

week 17

Scientists in New York are reporting early success at transforming one kind of specialized cell into another. For example, if someone has heart problems, doctors can take cells from their liver and use them on their heart. Doctors have gotten stem cells to revert to a state resembling embryonic stem cells which can be transformed into any type of cell in the body.

I think its amazing seeing the future of our medical technology. With this discovery many lives can be saved and not at the cost of a childs life such as in stem cell research. They say its still going to take a while to perfect this new medical discovery but I believe with proper funding and research that it will be perfected in ten years.
